An Oxford graduate with a First-Class degree in English Language and Literature, Georgina has been a dedicated professional tutor and writer since 2018. While focus on assessment objectives is central to all her lessons, an additional master’s degree from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama enables Georgina to bring the study of language and literature to life in an exciting way for all her students.
Since 2018, Georgina has been a professional tutor, supporting students of all ages and skill levels, from helping young children develop literacy skills as young as 5 years old to guiding hopeful Oxbridge applicants in crafting personal statements they can be proud of.
With her own curated quotation banks and resources to strengthen the understanding of major set texts, Georgina works closely with GCSE and A level students to help them internalise and tackle assessment criteria for exams, and really give examiners what they want. With core knowledge and understanding in place, Georgina will then often complement this with methods to improve coherence, structure and clarity in all essay-writing.
The rich and diverse content you've incorporated into the lessons with my daughter is much appreciated. Your efforts in covering grammar, vocabulary, rhetorical techniques, and the inclusion of video content for summarisation and learning writing skills from recordings have been truly commendable. It’s evident that the breadth and depth of the subjects you tackle are instrumental in nurturing her understanding and appreciation of the language. Your approach not only engages her but also enhances her academic capabilities.
We deeply appreciate Georgina's help and support, as well as the hard work she puts into teaching our children. They are especially grateful for the detailed feedback she provides on their homework.
My son really enjoyed Georgina’s lesson; he’s been talking about it ever since!
