Clarisse
AQA Examiner
Clarisse graduated with honours in Biological Sciences in 2018, soon realising that her true passion lay in education. She went on to complete a PGCE and began what would become a long and fruitful career as an educator. Now with many years of classroom and examiner experience for both A level Biology and Environmental Science, she has refined her ability to help students meet specific exam criteria, as well as tackle the subjects’ conceptual depths and practical applications at various levels.
Teaching Experience
Since 2019, Clarisse has taught Biology across GCSE, A-level, and IB, working with all major UK and international exam boards.
Clarisse’s experience as an examiner gives her an insider’s understanding of how to translate subject knowledge into top-band performance. She works with her students in approaching questions strategically, developing coherent and well-evidenced responses, and communicating scientific ideas with clarity and precision.
Now balancing her classroom role with professional online tutoring, Clarisse continued to be inspired and encouraged by the impact and progress that can be made with one-to-one teaching, enabling students to gain confidence and improved grades.
