Daniel’s academic journey has taken him through three of the UK’s most prestigious universities. His studies started with a BSc at University College London, and he then went on to specialise in education with a PGCE at the University of Oxford, where he is now pursuing an MSc in Education. With this blend of subject knowledge and pedagogical training, Daniel brings a multi-faceted perspective to his tutoring.
His experience teaching Economics and Politics, developing subject content, and examining A-level Politics for Edexcel leads to an approach that allows students to view topics through the lens of current economic and political affairs, making lessons both practical and meaningful as they study and prepare for their final exams.
Daniel has taught Economics and Politics across GCSE and A level with all major exam boards, in classrooms in London, Tokyo, and Abu Dhabi. Having worked with students from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds, Daniel is highly adaptable and attuned to the unique challenges they can face in different contexts.
Daniel’s experience as an A-level Politics examiner for Edexcel gives him a clear understanding of how marks are awarded. He draws on this to help students “reverse-engineer” success, breaking down assessment objectives and designing clear roadmaps to top-band performance.
Driven by a forward-thinking mindset and a passion for the future of education, Daniel also collaborates on edtech projects as a content developer. Now working with JTC students, he combines his academic depth with technological expertise to deliver engaging lessons that strengthen both students’ skills and their results.
"After being told for two years that I was going to fail and end up on report, I achieved an A* in Politics, an A in Economics. Daniel was one of the only teachers who ever believed in me. Thanks, Daniel!"
"Thanks to Mr Daniel’s support, I achieved an A in Politics and a B in Economics, and managed to secure my place at King’s College London, just as we had hoped."
“I got an A* in Politics and an A in Economics (the highest mark in the year for Politics!). I slipped up a bit in paper 3 in Econ but it doesn’t matter, I’m so happy with the result! I appreciate you so much for helping me with this. Thank you, Mr Daniel!”
“I’m really happy with my results. A*AA in Politics, Economics and Maths. Genuinely, I don’t think I would have enjoyed Economics or Politics as much if not for your teaching. I just want to say thank you so much for all your help during A Levels and for the resources you shared. Thank you, Mr. Daniel!”
"Thanks so much for all your support; my approach to Economics and my exam papers improved massively because of your help last year. Now I've been accepted into UCL to study History and Politics of the Americas. It also includes Economics modules, and it was probably the area of Politics that I'm most interested in. Thanks, Mr. Daniel!"
