Elliot holds a first class honours degree in Geography from the University of Oxford, during which time he was awarded the Casberd Scholarship by St John’s College in recognition of outstanding academic achievement.
Having passed via the A level route himself once upon a time, and with a passion for helping students see Geography beyond the textbook, Elliot brings the subject to life through current discussions and real-world examples that make complex ideas accessible and relevant. He takes pride in sparking curiosity and transforming his own enthusiasm for the subject into tangible academic success.
Elliot has tutored across GCSE and A-level Geography and Earth Science, covering all major exam boards including AQA, Edexcel, WJEC, and Cambridge. He has also supported students preparing for Geography entrance exams and Oxbridge interviews, helping them think critically, draw connections across topics, and articulate ideas clearly under pressure.
Elliot’s approach is built on the belief that success in Geography depends as much on structure as it does on content mastery. He encourages students to approach their studies ‘backwards’ from the mark scheme, understanding the assessment objectives, recognising what examiners reward most, and developing the skills to achieve those outcomes with confidence.
“Elliott’s guidance was extremely helpful and helped me both perfect my personal statement and prepare for interviews. I’ve now received an offer from Imperial College to study Geology.”
"I was very pleased with my grade, and my A level coursework project (NEA) scored 52/60, which was the highest my school has ever got. Thanks, Elliot!”
“The sessions with Elliott greatly improved my communication and response skills in interview settings. I’ve received offers from Durham, Imperial College, and UCL to study Earth Science."
