James began his teaching career in an independent school in London in 2018 and has since taught Economics and Politics across all major UK exam boards, designing and delivering curriculum-aligned lessons and assessing work both internally at school and for nationally standardised exams.

James believes that a true understanding of economics and politics goes far beyond theory. He encourages students to actively engage with current economic affairs, understand government policies, and assess their impact on different stakeholders. Through this approach, his students develop independent, analytical reasoning skills they can draw on in the exam room, across other subjects, and in their wider lives.

Keen to witness first-hand the impact that tailored teaching can have on a student’s grades, confidence, and growth, James complemented his classroom career with professional tutoring. Today, he brings that experience together in his role with JTC Education, combining the pedagogy of his classroom practice with the value of focused, one-to-one learning
