Julie
20+ years in Education
With over twenty years of experience in education, including a decade at one of the UK’s leading international boarding schools, Julie joined JTC Education to help students develop genuine mastery and confidence in Business Studies. As a qualified teacher holding a BA in Business and a PGCE, she now combines her work as a professional tutor with her role as a Business lecturer at a Russell Group university. Her lessons remain curriculum and exam-focused, first ensuring content is secure before looking into how to structure essays so as to meet assessment objectives and rise through the level bands of a given awarding body.
Teaching Experience
Drawing on more than two decades of classroom experience that spans GCSE, A Level, and university level, Julie has developed a broad and connected understanding of the requirements of each stage and level of Business Studies.
She spent more than ten years at one of the UK’s top international boarding schools, where she served as Curriculum Leader and Coordinator for Business Studies. In this role, she was responsible for meeting national standards, selecting and implementing teaching resources, and monitoring student progress across the department. Alongside her academic responsibilities, Julie also held pastoral roles, where she focused on supporting students in their personal and academic development.
Now, in her role as a professional Business Studies tutor, Julie ensures that her students are not only confident in their understanding of business theory but also able to apply that knowledge effectively under exam conditions.
