15+ years in Education. Examiner
With over fifteen years of experience in education, Tracey is a highly experienced Psychology specialist who combines the insight of a classroom teacher with the perspective of an examiner. She holds an MSc in Psychology alongside Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and the Qualification for Senior Leadership. Tracey has also taught Maths at KS2, KS3 and KS4 level (specialising in the requirements for Foundation GCSE Maths).
As an examiner for a major Psychology exam board, Tracey has a clear, practical understanding of assessment objectives, mark schemes, and what distinguishes top-band responses from those that fall short. By encouraging students to read pieces as examiners themselves, she builds genuine understanding, independence in study, and the critical judgement needed to communicate ideas clearly and effectively under exam conditions.
Tracey has supported students across KS2 to KS5, working in a wide range of educational settings, including primary schools, secondary and grammar schools, both in the classroom and as Head of Psychology at a competitive grammar school.
She began her career in the classroom in 2008 before later growing into senior leadership roles. Now a full-time online tutor, Tracey is dedicated to supporting students preparing for high-stakes exams who require focused, exam-board-specific guidance.
Her approach to teaching Psychology is structured yet flexible. Drawing on her extensive experience, Tracey understands that while Psychology is a content-heavy subject, most marks are lost not because of gaps in knowledge, but in how answers are written. For this reason, she focuses first on building secure understanding, and then places strong emphasis on developing AO2 application and AO3 evaluation skills, with guided practice on 12- and 16-mark questions and clear modelling of how to structure responses.
“Just wanted to say thank you to Tracey for helping my daughter over these last few weeks. She’s come out more confident and definitely feels like it’s all clicking. Thank you, Tracey, keep spreading the magic!”
"Tracey took on my daughter just before her A Levels. The plan was a couple of sessions to top up her learning. She enjoyed it so much and felt it was very useful, so we did them right up to the first exam. Would recommend Tracey for extra practice."
“My son said he never thought he would understand and now he does! Thank you, Tracey”
