JTC EDUCATION – TERMS OF SERVICE

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) explain how JTC Education FZ LLC (“JTC Education”, “we”, “us”, “our”) provides tutoring services and access to our website and App (“Platform”). By creating an account, booking lessons, or using our services, you agree to these Terms and to the Policies referenced below. If you do not agree, you must not use our services.
1. Who We Are

2. Definitions
“User” refers to any person using our App or services. “Student” refers to the individual receiving tuition. “Parent/Guardian” refers to the legal parent or guardian of a Student under the age of 18 who is responsible for creating and managing the Student’s account, accepting these Terms on the Student’s behalf, and for all payments and compliance with these Terms. “Self-Paying Student” refers to a Student aged 18 or over who creates and manages their own account and is the contracting party for the purposes of these Terms. “Tutor” means an independent contractor who provides tutoring services through JTC Education.“Lesson” means any scheduled tutoring session. “App” refers to the JTC Education mobile and web application. “Policies” refers to the policies listed in Section 3, all of which form part of these Terms.
3. Related Policies
These Terms incorporate our Cancellation & Reschedule Policy, Medical Note Policy, Refund Policy, Private Groups Terms & Conditions (where applicable), and Privacy Policy, together with any guidelines or notices referenced in these Terms, all of which form part of these Terms. If any inconsistency arises, the relevant Policy published on our website at the relevant time shall prevail to the extent of the inconsistency.
4. Eligibility and Accounts
Students under 18 may only use the service through a student account that is linked to and supervised by a Parent/Guardian account. The Parent/Guardian is the contracting party, accepts these Terms on the Student’s behalf, and is responsible for all activity carried out under the linked accounts. Where a Student is under the age of 18, the Parent/Guardian acknowledges and consents to JTC Education communicating directly with the Student for operational and scheduling purposes, including by email, WhatsApp, telephone and automated notifications (such as lesson reminders or schedule updates). The Parent/Guardian remains responsible for supervising such communications. You must provide accurate information, keep your login secure, and notify us immediately of any unauthorised account activity. Providing false, misleading, or incomplete information (including falsified medical notes) may result in suspension or termination, and we may recover any losses incurred
5. Types of Lessons
We offer three types of lessons: Regular Weekly Lessons, One-off Lessons, and Group/Joint Lessons. A Regular Weekly Lesson (or Regular Slot) is a recurring weekly lesson at the same time with the same Tutor. A One-off Lesson is a non-recurring, ad-hoc booking subject to Tutor availability. Group/Joint Lessons involve two or more students attending together and follow the terms set out in our Private Groups Terms & Conditions.
6. Regular Weekly Plan
A Regular Weekly Plan secures a recurring weekly lesson at a fixed time with the same Tutor and is intended for students who can attend consistently throughout the academic term. While occasional cancellations are permitted in line with our Cancellation & Reschedule Policy, frequent or ongoing cancellations may result in the student being moved to ad-hoc bookings or the weekly slot being released. Any unused prepaid lessons will be handled in accordance with our Refund Policy. Further details are set out in our Regular Attendance requirement for Weekly Lesson Plan eligibility.
7. Billing, Payments and Chargebacks
Billing cycles follow the schedule published on our website and may be updated by JTC Education with notice. All lessons are billed and payable in advance, and payment of an invoice secures the lessons within that billing cycle. Accepted payment methods are shown in the App or on your invoice. If payment is late or missed, lessons may be paused and any Regular Weekly slot may be released. You agree not to initiate a chargeback without first contacting us to resolve the matter; unfounded or fraudulent chargebacks may result in account suspension and recovery of any associated fees, costs or losses incurred.
8. Cancellations, No-Shows and Medical Notes
All lessons follow our Cancellation & Reschedule Policy, Medical Note Policy and Refund Policy, which form part of these Terms. By using our services, you agree to these policies. Lessons cancelled or rescheduled with more than 24 hours’ notice are refundable in accordance with our Refund Policy. Lessons cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice are fully chargeable unless a valid medical note is provided in line with our Medical Note Policy. No-shows are fully chargeable. If a Tutor cancels, the lesson will be rescheduled or refunded in full.
9. Relationship with Tutors and Approved Communication
Tutors are independent contractors. You must not hire Tutors privately, arrange or continue lessons outside JTC Education, or pay Tutors directly; doing so may result in account termination and a placement or introduction fee. All communication with Tutors must take place through the App or other channels explicitly authorised by JTC Education. You must not request or share personal contact details or communicate with Tutors privately via WhatsApp, email, phone, or social media without written permission.
10. Parent/Student Responsibilities
You agree to maintain respectful communication with Tutors and staff, ensure a safe and supervised learning environment, and inform us of any medical, behavioural, or learning needs relevant to teaching. Recording, screenshotting, screen-capturing, or sharing any part of a lesson (including audio, video, chat or whiteboards) is prohibited unless expressly authorised in writing by the Tutor or JTC Education.
11. Use of the App
You may use the App to manage lessons, payments and account balance, to view follow-up notes, and for in-App communication with Tutors. You must not share your login credentials, reverse-engineer the App, interfere with its operation, or use it for unlawful or abusive activities. The App is for personal educational use only and must not be used to arrange or organise lessons outside JTC Education, or develop competing services. Notification preferences may be adjusted in your device settings.
12. Data Protection and Privacy
We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws (including GDPR where relevant). By using our services, you consent to receiving operational communications via email, WhatsApp, telephone and in-App notifications.
13. Intellectual Property and User-Generated Content
All content on our App and website, including text, graphics, tutor bios, lesson materials and branding, is owned by JTC Education or our licensors. You may use materials only for personal study and must not copy, reproduce, distribute, publish, scrape, data-mine or commercially exploit any content without permission. Tutor-created materials remain the property of the Tutor or original rights holder. Users are responsible for any content they upload or share and must have lawful rights to provide it. We may remove content that is unlawful or violates these Terms.
14. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend your access to the App or discontinue your use of our services if you breach these Terms or any Policy, misuse the App, engage in abusive behaviour, fail to make required payments, or violate safeguarding or communication rules. Lessons already delivered remain payable upon termination.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless JTC Education, its Tutors, directors and staff from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities or expenses arising from your use of our services, your breach of these Terms, or your interactions with Tutors.
16. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
We do not guarantee specific academic outcomes, grades or admissions results, nor uninterrupted or error-free access to the App. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is limited to the value of the affected Lesson(s), and we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential losses. JTC Education is not responsible for disruptions, reduced lesson quality, missed lesson time, or inability to join a Lesson caused by the Student’s or Parent/Guardian’s device, software, or internet connection. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
17. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or failure to perform services caused by events outside our reasonable control, including power or internet outages, technical disruptions, illness, government restrictions, war, or natural disasters.
18. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms or related Policies from time to time. Material updates will be communicated via email or App notification. Continued use of the services constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
19. Assignment
JTC Education may assign or transfer its rights and obligations under these Terms to a third party as part of a business reorganisation, merger, sale of assets, or similar transaction. You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent.
20. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, that provision shall be severed, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
21. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of the UAE.
