Dr Chantelle
Having graduated from Imperial College and King’s College London, Chantelle is a professional tutor and PhD researcher with a long track record of outstanding tutoring results to her name. Her in-depth knowledge of the sciences allows her to seamlessly integrate real-world applications into her lessons, transforming dense topics into dynamic sessions. Meticulous in her approach, Chantelle closely monitors her students’ progress via both classwork and homework, whilst always providing insight on the terminology and level of detail expected from a curriculum’s marking scheme. She provides regular feedback to her students and their guardians in order to ensure that students are executing optimal study strategies beyond her tutorials.
TUTORING EXPERIENCE
Chantelle is happy to have supported over 50 students in their preparation for GCSE, A-level and university foundation years. By utilising the latest and best approaches in tutoring practices, 83% of her A-level students in 2023 obtained a grade A or higher.
As an experienced, UK-based tutor specialising in teaching biology and chemistry, she has an acute familiarity with several examination boards, including AQA, OCR, Edexcel and GAMSAT.
Chantelle adopts an active-learning teaching philosophy, designing sessions that are highly interactive and demand continuous student input. Tutorial sessions are supported by the preparation of PowerPoint presentations and videos to supplement the concepts being conveyed. During these sessions, students are constantly asked targeted questions that assess their comprehension of the underlying concepts being explored. Worksheets and past-papers are also regularly worked out together and as homework, with the goal of preparing students with the right skills to answer questions accurately, in full and in line with exam board expectations. Ultimately, each session is tailored specifically to the students’ need in order to aid her students to reach their full academic potential.
