An Oxford graduate with a First-Class Master’s degree in Chemistry, Harry has been a dedicated professional tutor since 2017. Having achieved an A* in his own Chemistry A level, and 10 A*s at GCSE, Harry went on to build a strong foundation in Chemistry and other sciences at Oxford University, developing the excellence and rigour required to succeed at the highest of academic levels.
Drawing on his extensive knowledge of Chemistry—and its connections to the wider scientific world—Harry ensures his students have a deep understanding of concepts first, from which the ability to answer and adapt to different exam-style questions can then follow. With over eight years of tutoring experience, he is highly adept at tailoring his science lessons to suit specific exam board requirements.
Harry embarked on his tutoring journey in 2017, amassing over 500 hours of instruction focused on GCSE Science and A level Chemistry, and working with students of all abilities. In addition to his professional tutoring work, he has volunteered over 500 teaching hours of GCSE Science and Chemistry to SEN students around the world, most often in under-resourced settings. These experiences have equipped him with an adaptable, student-centred approach, and a strong ability to make complex material accessible and engaging for all types of learners.
Harry now works exclusively online, using interactive tools, whiteboard technology, and JTC tracker system and tutoring methodologies to prepare students with the skills they need to answer questions quickly, accurately, and in line with exam board expectations.
