As a first-class Oxford graduate, and teaching experience across three different countries, Oliver is passionate about both tutoring and academia. He places a strong emphasis on achieving top grades through instilling a passion for learning, whether that might be for English Literature, American History or spoken French.
He has a deep and sincere love for all his subjects, which he delights in sharing with all of his students. Oliver believes in an active dialogue teaching approach which encourages high levels of student engagement in lessons. He draws inspiration for his approach from his time within the Oxford tutorial system.
Oliver began teaching in 2019, when he took up a role as an English teacher in Guangzhou, China. He taught English and History to baccalauréat students at the Lycée Pascal in Paris from 2020-21. In 2022-23, he held a full-time role as a tutor of History, French, English and Maths in Hong Kong, devising more than twenty hours per week of original lesson plans for international groups of students, helping them to achieve top grades in their GCSEs, IGCSEs, A-Levels and IB examinations.
